Hong Kong

We spent the last few days of our trip in wonderful Hong Kong with a fraternity brother of Matt's who lives over here for work. Its been a great place to end such an amazing four months.
The first day we arrived we were blessed with perfect weather so we took the opportunity to take the tram to The Peak, Hong Kong Island's highest point. We were so glad we did because the rest of the time we have had level 3 Typhoon warnings!

That night we met up Ryan and His girlfriend, Sally, for dinner and drinks. This looks a lot hotter than it actually was!

The next day we took advantage of the 3 hours where it wasn't pouring rain and visited Hong Kong Park. This looks like my kind of buffet!

Mini pineapple!

This is the HSBC building. The things at the top that look like cannons are replica machine guns which are pointing at the Bank of China building. Don't mess with HSBC!

That night we again met up with Ryan and Sally for dinner along with two of their coworkers for a traditional hotpot dinner. This WAS as hot as it looks!

On the third day we tried to brave the weather but were not so lucky. Typhoons are no joke!

This was taken from 100 floors up and we were completely banked in with storm clouds.

On our last day here we took the ferry over to Macau. We had to bring our passports and got Macau stamps! Macau currently earns more revenue every year than Vegas does. It was hard to see that because their were not as many casinos and when we were there they were not too crowded, but the Chinese must like to gamble big! The weather was horrible while we were there so we only saw the MGM, Wynn and Venetian. They definitely were not as opulent as Vegas, but still impressive.

Next stop: San Francisco!
Location:Hong Kong
